Recommendations were incorporated in this review, and reflected the efficiencies that could be achieved.</p> <li>A U.K. assignment recently considered and agreed a ‘Fitness Standard’ for notes in circulation, with the Bank of England. The team considered ways of maximizing the cost benefits from the utilization of note sorting equipment in the commercial sector. In a wider context, the worldwide practices and standards were examined and compared.</p> <li>Currency Research has also undertaken studies of ‘Country Automation’ to establish the cost benefits of integrating many currency related activities into a consolidated or centralized structure.</p> <li>Independent Technological and Operational assessment and auditing of cash processing to provide site improvement and quality monitoring data to the industry. Quality assessment can be provided on a structured basis.</p> <h2 align="left">Providing Unique Industry Forums</h2> <p>The <b>Currency Conference</b> and the <b>International Commercial Cash Operations Seminar (ICCOS)</b> are organized by Currency Research USA Corp.</p> <h3>Currency Conference <a href="http://www.currencyconference.com" target="_blank">www.currencyconference.com</a></h3> <p>The next Currency Conference will be held October 2 through 5, 2005 at Le Centre Sheraton Hotel in Montr&#233al, Qu&#233bec, Canada.</p> <p>The Currency Conference was established in 1992 to offer a unique and secure forum for Central Bankers, Bank Note Printers and related Industry Suppliers to discuss new technologies and relevant issues impacting the banking industry. This year marks the Conference's 10th Anniversary and the theme will be <i>"The Forum for Currency Issues"</i>.</p> <h3>International Commercial Cash Operations Seminar (ICCOS) <a href="http://www.iccos.net" target="_blank">www.iccos.net</a></h3> <p>The next ICCOS will be held June 4 through 6, 2006 at the InterContinental Hotel in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA.</p> <p>ICCOS was established in 1995 and next year will mark it's 8th meeting. The Seminar is focused on the Commercial Cash Processors with information on the latest trends and technology. In San Francisco (2004), we broadened the Seminar by including presentations and sponsors outside the secure walls of the cash vaults, and glimpsed the important part that retail and branch banking play in the total cash cycle. We wish to continue this in New Orleans.
