Richard is the Chairman of Currency Research (USA) Corp. a corporation based in Dallas, Texas and Currency Research (UK) Ltd based in England.
- Richard was the founder and CEO of Currency Systems International (CSI 1991 to 2001).
- Richard was the founder and Chairman of Currency Software Solutions (CSS 1996 – 2001) and Currency Consulting International (CCI l996-2001).
- Richard has sold currency hardware and software solutions worldwide and continues to advise Banks and Industry on the marketplace trends.
- Richard has been heavily involved in contract negotiations and price and performance discussions with vendors and clients from both sides of the table.
- Richard has an Honours Degree in Computing Science and Mathematics and worked as a computer systems analyst and programmer.

- Early career related highlights worked as a Programmer, a Systems Analyst and Field Support Manager, a sales person and sales management for Paradyne National Business Systems, Mohawk Data Sciences, and as VP of Recognition Equipment Inc (REI) Currency Systems division.
- After beginning CSI, Richard Haycock was responsible for growing a company from 1 person to more than 250 employees in over 12 countries, selling and servicing globally in over 45 countries, hardware and software in Central Banks, Print Works and Commercial Institutions.
- As CEO of CSI, Richard was responsible for establishing CCI and the analysis and purchasing of 3 software companies to form the CSS Company.
- As Consultant for Currency Research, Richard participated in study for APACS UK and the Bank of England on setting UK standards for sorting banknotes and recently recommended negotiating tactics and contract changes for a Reserve Bank negotiating with a sorting vendor.
Professional Affiliations:
- Richard is the founder and Chairman of the International Association of Currency Affairs (IACA) a not-for-profit organization established to promote and represent the interests of the currency industry.
- Richard is the founder, owner, and Chairman of the Currency Conference; established to promote dialogue between the central bank issuers and the banknote providers and users.
- Richard is the co-founder, co-owner and on the editorial board of Currency News.
- Richard is also on the board of and past chairman of a public company recently taken private in the oil services business (ARCIS 1996 – present). He served on various committees.
